Teboho Letele @ NICRO Community Hall

Teboho Letele describes his inspiration for this piece:

“The flag of South Africa was designed in a bid to unify the nation under one banner. This flag was formed as part of the negotiation process that began when Nelson Mandela was released from prison in 1990. Three of the flag’s colours were derived from the flag of the Boer republic. The one I chose was painted by the youth of Botshabelo on the wall of the NICRO Community Hall in Cape Town.”
